Location types


When creating a location, there are three types which can be chosen from. See information in the table below.

Location Type
Description
1
Global Distributor
The higher level of location type. Initially contains all kits for the trial. It allows to initiate shipments to lower level location types (kits must be active).
2
Regional Distributor
Medium level of location type. Usually used as supply depot which is responsible to ship kits to the sites.
3
Site
Lowest level of location type. Only return shipments are allowed (e.g. when kits are damaged) to higher level location types (kits must be inactive).


Shipments can never be performed between two locations of the same type.
