Stock resupply is useful if you want shipments to be automatically initiated in order to avoid running out of products.
The location needs to have a depot and a supply scheme with a resupply trigger and a resupply target.
Product deactivation (e.g. manually deactivation, dispensing, inactivated due to expiry date approaching, etc) triggers the count of active products at the location. This includes checking if either of the treatments has less (or the same) products than the resupply trigger.
If that is the case, a shipment will be automatically initiated from the depot to the site.
The shipment will have as many products as the number needed to reach the resupply target defined for each treatment.
The following example will better illustrate how this process works:
Location: Centre 01
Resupply trigger = 3
Resupply target = 8
The following table shows the available products in Centre 01.
| Treatment | Available products |
|---|---|
Control | 4 |
Test | 6 |
| Treatment | Number of sent products |
|---|---|
Control | 5 |
Test | 2 |
Note 1: Only active products at the site will be considered for the shipment initiation.
Note 2: Products currently with Status "In Transit"/"Waiting" that are destined to Centre 01 will also be considered for the initiation of new shipments (will be counted as being in destination to avoid initiation of more shipments).
